Nepal is a Himalayan country in South Asia that is well- travelled by foreigners and for good reason. From the Mount Everest, Pokhara, the people, food and great atmosphere.
There’s a feeling one gets once they step foot in Nepal- that is indescribable. We may not be able to ever put those feelings down to words, but perhaps this listicle will encourage you to see for yourself.
It’s doubtful you’ll meet someone who will say to you that visiting Nepal was expensive for them. For such a beautiful country, it’s honestly worth every penny and even that penny won’t add up to a crazy amount.
During my stay of 6 days, with a friend, we managed to budget the ENTIRE trip for SAR 2500 from Dubai. NO JOKE.
From food, flights, hotels, souvenirs, transfers via bus to Pokhara and activities. Even I still can’t believe it.
Nepalese dishes, according to The Culture Trip, are healthier compared to other South Asian cuisine. “Their food mostly consists of vegetables, lean meats, pickled ingredients and salads.”
The Nepali thali/ dhal bhat is one great example of this. Vegetarians certainly won’t have an issue with food in the country.
With fare tickets that probably won’t cost you more than SAR1500 on average, if you search really well.
But in a good way.
All affordable, all very interesting and it as a street filled with tourists who are like-minded and are only looking for the same peace of mind, that you’re looking for.
The Nepali people are so kind, and lead such simple, humble lives that it brings you a perspective of what’s really important in life. To just be.
… and seeing the Mount Everest should really be on everyone’s travel bucket list.
That is, if you don’t easily get car sick, of course. Otherwise, there’s an option for flights- only about an hour away.
Your Instagram feed will cry from the beauty of it all.
The views from the top is amazing, you can even have the whole thing recorded via GoPro. Good way to make memories.
Where kings and queens used to be crowned…
Like hot air balloons, rafting in rivers, bungee jumping.
Sky is the limit?
It’s a fulfilling feeling knowing you’ve helped someone, or in this case, a few people out. After the earthquake that hit Nepal in 2015, it left the country with a strain. So any help is appreciated.
Why not add that to your trip?
No explanation necessary.
Did we mention this already?
Yes. A must-do.
During summertime, it’s still a little chilly and wintertime reaches to 16 degrees which us Saudi folks will surely enjoy.
And you’re guaranteed to go back, for sure.
