An emotionally-stirring photo has nabbed the hearts of Saudis and the Twitter-world for the super nostalgic and blissful story it entailed.
A photo shows a Saudi orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Ahmed Al-Qarni, posing for a photo after performing surgery on his first grade teacher- whom he last saw 30 years back.

According to Al Arabiya English, the teacher Obaid Al-Qarni had requested for his former student Dr. Al-Qarni to perform the surgery on him. Dr. Ahmed Al-Qarni is a consultant orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports, foot and ankle surgery.
(Nope, we are not crying, just slicing onions over here.)
In a tweet, Dr. Qarni uploaded the photo with the caption: “Ustad Obaid Al-Qarni, my elementary school teacher. It has been a while since we saw each other and here we meet again but this time I became a doctor and you are my patient where I performed surgery on his knee, I wish you nothing but the best dear teacher.”
In an interview with Al-Arabiya English, Dr. Al-Qarni expressed his pride over being able to do something nice back for his teacher. He added that his teacher “suffered a knee injury. He came to the clinic where we reminisced about the school days, my colleagues, the students and the school and teachers. After that I performed the necessary tests and scheduled him for an operation.”
Dr. Al-Qarni looked out for his teacher during the entire process of the surgery, from entering the anesthesia room until after completion. He also introduced his teacher to his colleagues wherein teacher Obaid said that he was proud that Al-Qarni was one of his students.
