A Saudi Nurse Was Suspended After Flipping Her Middle Finger In A Now Viral Snapchat Video

A nurse has been suspended from her job after a Snapchat video of her complaining about work-related issue and flipping her middle finger went viral. The nurse, working in the Asir region, was suspended just days after the video circulated online, according to Sabq.

The General Directorate of Health Affairs in Saudi Arabia’s Assir governorate is dealing with the nurse in accordance with Saudi’s ’employee disciplinary code’

…under article 43 which states that an employee could be suspended if they engage in activities that could tarnish a workplace’s reputation. The case is currently under investigation.

Twitter peeps took their two-cents on the matter and there’s divided opinion on wether she deserved the penalty or not
