Just when you thought you’d seen it all, a humpback whale washes up on a Saudi shore.
A video taken in the Kingdom’s Red Sea or the Arabian Gulf has gone viral due to its extremely surprising nature.
Khaleej Times reports that the whale, from an unspecified species, reached nearly 15-metres long. Such an occurrence only takes place when whales follow large ships in warm waters.
The Ministry of Environment Water and Agriculture in Saudi Arabia suggested that the whale most likely hit a shop propeller and wasn’t able to find its way back out from the Red Sea.
The whale also probably died from heat exhaustion and suffocation.
The marina animal was then buried 10 meters offshore so that it decomposes naturally.
