The Saudi Headquartered Arabsat got one of its satellites launched by Elon Musk’s Space X last month. Now, it is through satellites by Arabsat that we get to watch all those channels at home.
Space X deployed its rocket called Falcon Heavy to launch the Arabsat 6-A satellite. The satellite was made by American defence giant Lockheed Martin.
The launch took place at NASA’s Kennedy Space Station in Florida. Luckily for us, the launch has been captured on video and it’s pretty remarkable. Space X has streamed the entire launch on their official YouTube account.
Arab News has quoted the CEO of Arabsat, Khaled bin Ahmed Balkheyour, as saying that it was “a momentous leap in the field of commercial satellites manufacturing and launching.”
