Even before King Salman was king he headed various critical departments and ministries. Many a time he travelled abroad on official tours heading the meetings with respective heads of state.

The kingdom’s Ministry of Foreign of Affairs has been tweeting memorable photos from such tours on their Twitter handle and here some of them.

This photo shows a 16-year-old King Salman accompanying a delegation to Egypt in 1951.

One of his last official tours as Crown Prince was to India.

He visited India before as well, then as Governor of Riyadh.
