Raha Moharrak is all things but fearful is definitely not one of them. The athlete known for being the first Saudi woman to summit the highest peak in the seven continents of the world is now on a new TV venture called Laffat Almamlaka.

Her latest media venture with the MBC Group is one that’ will explore the Saudi Arabia’s beautiful undiscovered gems. And they’ve somewhat already begun the filming process.

In a post shared last week, Moharrak and her team visited the Wahbah Crater, a volcanic crater that’s 250 kilometres away from Taif.

She shared a beautiful perspective about her journey in seeing the unexplored sights of the Kingdom, one you might just be interested in reading.

Raha expressed how eye-opening the show has been to her

“Shooting this show has opened my eyes in so many ways, mainly, it expanded my view on how unbelievably beautiful and untapped Saudi Arabia is. Our episode is about the Al Wahbah crater or as locals call it, Maqla Tamia. This volcanic crater, which is about 250 kilometres away from the city of Taif, is located on the western edge of the Harrat Kishb basalt plateau and surprisingly contains many volcanic cones. This particular creator is 250 m (820 ft) deep and 2 km (1.2 mi) in diameter. The bottom of the crater is covered with white sodium phosphate crystals.”

Moharrak also shared an interesting legend about the crater that mostly only locals know of

She shared a legend that says the Wahbah Crater was, in fact, ‘not a crater at all but a story of a mountain called Tamia who fell in love with another mountain and took off and landed near its beloved.’

That folktale definitely adds more heart to the already beautiful Wahbah Crater.
