Majid Al Futtaim’s CEO, Alain Bejjani, has this week revealed on Twitter a sneak peek of the new VOX Cinemas in the Kingdom. And let us tell you, this does not look like your average movie theatre.
Nope, not at all.
During the CinemaCon 2018 event in Las Vegas, USA on Monday, Bejjani tweeted about the VOX Cinemas launch in KSA, saying “It won’t be like any other cinema experience, but a world-class one.”
We don’t think he was kidding when he said that, just look at these photos.
Majid Al-Futtaim, according to Arab News, has already been granted its license to operate cinemas in the Kingdom from the Minister of Culture and Information. Reports say the company will invest a good SAR2 Billion to open 600 screens across the Kingdom over the coming years, supporting the Kingdom’s economy by providing 3,000 jobs by 2030.
VOX Cinemas is the largest cinema operator in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, so expect big things.

Although no official date has yet been confirmed, VOX’s theatres are set to open soon at the Riyadh Park Mall.
The Riyadh Park Mall VOX cinema will have four screens at first, including Saudi’s first ever IMAX screen to show films in 3D. It will also include VOX Kids, a colourful, custom-built cinema experience designed specifically for children.
