The kiswa (clothing of Kaaba, or embroidered cover) is skillfully made with embroidered Quranic calligraphy in gold and silver by 200 artists. 

The 14 meter long kiswa contains 120 kg gold and 25 kg silver threads!  

And the final kiswa weighs around 650 kilograms.

In the past, during the Ottoman period in Hijaz, the Kiswa used to reflect amazing Turkish essence in detail and design.

 Most muslims love to have a piece of Kiswa in their homes…here are few old kiswa you might have never seen!

The inscription indicates it was ordered by Sultan Abdülhamid II (1876-1909)
