A Date Has Been Set To Lift The Ban On Flights From Saudi To Yemen

Avatar

After almost a week long ban, the Saudi Led coalition will allow commercial flights to and fro Yemen starting this Sunday.

According to Arab News the coalition had closed all air, land and sea ports to counter the flow of weapons to Houthi rebels in Yemen. This was done after a ballistic missile was launched at Riyadh from Houthi-held territory.

The Houthis have fired more than 70 missiles in Saudi Arabian territory in the past two years, but the attempt on Riyadh was their deepest yet.

Yemeni Transport minister has announced that flights by national carrier Yemenia will resume to the cities of Aden and Seiyun. In addition to that, the southern seaport at Aden has reopened on Wednesday.
