According to several international news media, Saudi’s prince AlWaleed bin Talal is reportedly being asked a U.S $6 billion from authorities prior to release. However, no Saudi authorities have confirmed this as fact.
The anti corruption crackdown that took place two months ago, was led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in order to restore economic balance to the Kingdom. During this crackdown, princes like AlWaleed bin Talal, notable ministers and businessmen were detained at the Ritz Carlton in Riyadh.
And now it is reported that a U.S $6 Billion is expected in exchange for his freedom. Again, this has not been confirmed by Saudi authorities, however, a month ago it was mentioned that most of those detained have agreed to paying settlements.
Most of those who have been confronted with corruption charges against them by the committee have agreed to a settlement and the necessary procedures are being completed
