In recent news, a woman in Hail reportedly did not want to take her newborn baby back home after giving birth. Khaleej Times reports that the woman refused to return her baby girl home because she believed she had given birth to a son. The article further added that she believed the hospital authorities allegedly gave her child to another set of parents. 

The doctor allegedly told the woman that her “infant is doing great”, minutes after she asked how her newborn was doing

The 7ail news site reported that what the mother understood from the “infant is doing great system” was that she gave birth to a boy. The mother then filed a lawsuit against the medical staff and the hospital alleging that her child had been swapped by them. 

The hospital denied all allegations and stated that ‘gender neutral statements’ are frequently used by the staff of hospital. The woman then removed her complaint following negotiations with the medical centre.
