As a tribute, the College of Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technologies in the Kingdom has been named after HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense. The news comes after the Crown Prince himself approved the naming of the college, that is still under construction, reported daily Saudi Gazette on Monday.

Saud Al- Qahtani, chairman of the Saudi Federation for Cyber Security, Programming and Drones, sent a proposal for the name-change, which was then approved by the Crown Prince. In a statement to Saudi Gazette, Qahtani thanked His Royal Highness MBS for the approval, and that it ‘represents his noble gesture in extending continuous support to Saudis who are interested in this important domain in which the world’s advanced countries are competing to build outstanding national capabilities.’
Arab News reports that the college has already signed deals with Carnegie Mellon University, Draper University and SANS Institute. In the last week, it also struck agreements with STC to provide innovative services and solutions to the federation.
