A survey done by HSBC looked into expat life globally and the financial uplifts it brings. They showed comparisons from expats who lived in several countries, such as Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Norway, Germany and more.

In the survey, they found that 52% of expats say they save more than they did in their home country. More than 56% also added that 57% of them have MORE disposable income currently than prior to their move.

Expats in Saudi Arabia get to save three- quarters of their income compared to earning from their hometowns

“In Saudi Arabia, for example, the considerable increase in income helps around three-quarters of expats save more than they did at home (79%) and enjoy the benefits of more disposable income (73%).”

The survey also showed that expats in Switzerland, similarly, enjoy the same privilege
