Saudi Arabia has a huge football following with even local league matches watched with much enthusiasm.
On a Wednesday match between Al-Wehda and Al-Nojoom during the King’s Cup of Champions, a player from Al-Nojoom dabbed while the cameras were on him.
Al Nojoom did win the match but Twitterati apparently found more amusement when a video of the incident was posted on the official Twitter account of Dawri Plus.

The dab is basically a move which involves a person tucking their head into the crook of their arm. It is strictly forbidden in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Interior Ministry’s National Commission for Combating Drugs has banned the move because it is a reference to narcotics culture.
Last year a Saudi singer, Abdallah Al Shahani, performed the dab at the Taif Festival and his act got him arrested. He later issued an apology.
While it is still unclear on what action the authorities might take regarding this new dabbing incident, in the meantime, social media is having a field day commenting on it. Read the full list of comments on the video here.
