Watch: Saudi Team Withdraws From Badminton Competition After Finding Out That Their Opponents Were From Israel

In what was like a mark of protest a Saudi doubles team has withdrawn from an international tournament after finding out that their opponents would be from Israel.

Their video has since gone viral.

In the video, they are seen standing on the court with their rackets in hand but walk off after finding out that they would be playing against a double’s team from Israel.

Just earlier this week a video of a Saudi student refusing to stand next to the Israeli flag has also gone viral.

The Saudi student won a chemistry competition at the 50th International Chemistry Olympiad following which he was called on stage with his flag.

But then an Israeli student was called who held the Israeli flag and so the Saudi moved from his spot and went to the other end of the line.
