Ehtiwa is one of the foremost Saudi volunteer groups in the country and over the past few years it has grown so big that it has now managed to break a Guinness World Record.

Ramadan is a month of giving and it is in this month that Ehtiwa embarked on a campaign on clothing clothes. This is their 8th year of doing so.

According to the Arab News, the campaign called “Keswat Farah” took place across Riyadh and the Eastern Province.

The volunteer group comprising of some 2,000 individuals collected over 500,000 clothing items.

That was enough to set a new Guinness World Record.

Most of the volunteers that participated were women.

The clothes collected were then sorted, readied, cleaned and put in the Keswat Farah showroom where the needy came and collected privately.
