A Sitcom Portraying The Lives Of Saudi Students In The US Has Taken Off Big Time

Avatar

Called Cut, the new sitcom follows the lives of Saudi students as they try to strike a balance between their identity and the country where they are living in.

These students aren’t actually pursuing conventional studies but rather are studying filmmaking.

Apart from its intriguing plot, the show also has an interesting mix of characters wherein some are conservative and others on the liberal end of the spectrum.

There are tens of thousands of Saudi students studying in America and the show seemed to has stricken the write cord.

The MBC sitcom has been praised by viewers and Twitter was abuzz with tweets on it.

Fahad Al Butairi who stars in the sitcom promises that is it going to get even better from here. In an interview with Arab News, he says “that we’re still in the beginning. The real action doesn’t happen until the middle of the season.”

Seeing the response and what promises to come we can’t wait to watch what happens next in the lives of these students as the show progresses.
