A Six Flags Branded Theme Park Is Going To Come To Saudi In 2020 For The First Time EVER

A deal has been made by the Kingdom’s Public Investment Fund and the notable theme park company Six Flags to BRING our very own new park in Saudi. The Six Flags park will surely be a hit amongst its prospective visitors from around the region once it opens in 2022 (expected date).

Forbes Middle East reports that the world-class theme park will be located within Qiddiya, which is known as the country’s first entertainment, sports and cultural hub.

Here’s what we can probably expect to see from the ‘Saudi Six Flags’

Ignore that shameful self-coined term. The Six Flags Parks in the U.S, Mexico and Canada now has more than 20 parks, proving just how successful it has become over the years. The Six Flags Entertainment Corporation alone even brings in $1.4 billion in revenue.

We’ve looked at their social media accounts to get a look-see into what we could be expecting once the Six Flags in Saudi Arabia is open to public.

This is one of the ways Saudi is looking into diversifying its economy

With HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Vision 2030 in line, creating a less oil-dependent nation, also means investing more into other sectors of revenue. Evidently, the entertainment sector is a booming one, like this. Michael Reininger, CEO of Qiddiya spoke to Forbes Middle East, saying there’s a dire need for theme parks in Saudi since nearly two thirds of its population is under the age of 35.

Excited?

We know we are.
