Saudi is definitely making sure the future starts right here in the Kingdom, and that too with newly purchased air taxis. Considering the heavy inflow of pilgrims from Jeddah to the Holy Mosque in Makkah, facilitating the masses can be quite complicated.
The Kingdom plans to use air taxis to transport pilgrims from Jeddah’s airport to the Makkah Grand Mosque
Great to be at @FIIKSA today where we announced a strategic partnership with @Saudi_Airlines for the development and operation of an eVTOL network across Saudi Arabia. As part of the agreement, SAUDIA plans to purchase 100 all-electric Lilium Jets. #Lilium https://t.co/zbc7V5CTTn pic.twitter.com/1XTSP7oeRW

The announcement was made in October 2022, where Lilium announced their partnership with Saudia Airlines for the 100 air taxis. The all-electric Lilium jets can facilitate up to seven passengers!
These fancy German jets interiors are actually so cool!
Considering how the Hajj pilgrimage season welcomes millions of pilgrims from all over the world, these Taxis could be of great use for the elderly, disabled, and families unable to travel long routes via road. Saudi is really trying its best to accommodate people from all walks of life when it comes to the Hajj season, making sure each and every person is comfortable.
Definitely can’t wait for these fancy jets to be seen across the skies of Jeddah!
