The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques King Salman just managed to wow the entire Kingdom following announcements of several billion dollar projects across Saudi were announced.

One region in particular, that is going to be receiving a MAJOR upgrade on most of its developments is the northern Al-Jouf province, reports the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Al-Jouf is is a region up north- super close in proximity to Jordan’s border (to the west)

The historical region of Al-Jouf houses its capital city of Sakakah and has around three governorates within its premises: the Sakakah, Qurayyat and Dumat Al-Jandal.

It is also home to the many historical sites like the Umar ibn Al-Khattab Mosque and the Qadeer Palace.

Yep, foh real, that’s how its deserts look too.

Approximately 242 development projects that’ll come up to SAR10 are in the works

Arab News reports that out of those, 21 projects will go into the Ministry of Health, 77 into the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture as well as industrial and mining sectors (AMAZING!).

But wait, that doesn’t end there. King Salman also approved for projects to go into the Ministry of Housing, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Transport.

Talk about a full-on makeover!

The king arrived with MBS in Al-Jouf on Tuesday night

The Custodian Of The Two Holy Mosques King Salman also took this time to lay the foundation stone for a couple of development projects in the region, setting its initiation.

Plans for a new airport have already emerged and residents of Al-Jouf cannot wait!

Two new airports will be built and developed, in fact, in Al-Jouf and Al-Qurayyat. The Al-Jouf is aimed to accommodate a million passengers every year while the latter with half that amount, confirmed SPA.
