A Crackdown Of Resident And Labour Regulation Violators Saw Almost 161,000 Deportations Over Four Months

Saudi authority started a worldwide crackdown of violators of Saudi residency and labor regulations since November 15, 2017. 

With the help of 19 ministries and official departments, the “Nation Without Illegal Expats campaign,” has arrested 671,272 and of those almost 161,000 have been deported from the country. 

The arrests were made for the following reasons

• 470,000 were arrested for violating residency systems,
• 142,000 were arrested for breaking labor laws,
• 60,000 were arrested for breaking border security. 

Detention centers are still processing 11,000 men and 2,000 women.
