A female Muslim superhero might be the next Marvel movie star, if the hints from the producer of Avengers Infinity War are anything to go by.
Kevin Feige, who produced Avengers, spoke to the BBC, and said that Pakistani-American teenager, Kamala Khan could be the next Marvel film hero.
He said: “Ms. Marvel… is definitely sort of in the works.”
He said Ms Marvel will follow the release of Captain Marvel – which is confirmed to release in 2019.
Feige also said of Ms Marvel: “We have plans for that once we’ve introduced Captain Marvel to the world,” he added.
It’s rumoured Priyanka Chopra could be the star, but it’s unconfirmed, as the film is only in preliminary stages.
Kamala Khan, or Ms Marvel is a teenage character in the Marvel universe, based in New Jersey, US. She has shapeshifting abilities, and first appeared in the comic book, Captain Marvel in 2013, and had her own series, Ms Marvel that debuted in 2014.
