National Day Is Coming Up Soon And The Cirque Du Soleil’s Show In Riyadh Will Still Go On Despite Canada Relations

A special show by the Montreal-based group of Cirque du Soleil performers will still continue it show in the Kingdom despite recent spats between the Kingdom and Canada.

According to Bloomberg, the one-hour show that will feature an array of performances from more than 80 artists will still carry on with its Riyadh show to commemorate the Saudi’s National Day.

This will be Cirque Du Soleil’s first performance in Saudi Arabia

Plans for the show were prepped under His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Vision 2030, to help expand the Kingdom’s entertainment industry.

The relationship between the two countries has gone a little fizzy following last month’s events

…when the internet exploded with the news of Saudi Arabia’s recent measures being taken with Canada over its interference on the Kingdom’s internal affairs.

The news made global headlines with additional news being announced throughout the week of diplomatic ties being severed.

The show will, naturally, be a little modified to maintain the cultural conservatism of the Kingdom

The National reported that costumes for the show will be specifically designed to respect and maintain Saudi’s local traditions. Additionally, the show will tastefully meet the standards of the performance company as well as the Saudis’.
