Finally!
The Haramain high-speed train is set to begin its commercial operations in 11 days, coinciding with the fourteenth day of Muharram on September 24.
The long-awaited starting date of this modern transportation system has been stirring for sometime.
But in just a few short days, it’ll commence its many journeys between Makkah and Madinah, creating an easier mode of transportation for residents.
According to Saudi Gazette, the high-speed train’s trial runs resulted in a success and carriages are ready for business. The railway stations based in Makkah, Madinah and Rabigh are already fully-furnished, with a few finishing touches still being finalised at the Jeddah station.
Tickets to take the train can be booked via its official website.

Eight services are expected to operate at the Haramain Train on a day-to-day basis until the end of 2018. But prep yourselves for the beginning of 2019, when services are likely to increase to 12 services daily.
Inspections of the trains have already been prepared by the Minister of Transport Nabeel Al-Amoudi at the start of the month.
Some few residents got to experience the train ride for free just three months ago.
