Whoever sees the crescent moon tonight is being asked by the Supreme Court to report the sighting to the nearest court.
According to Khaleej Times, the Supreme Court asked anyone who sees the crescent of the Islamic calendar month of Shawwal on Thursday evening, either by the naked eye or binoculars, to register the testimony to the nearest centre.
The nearest centre would then help this statement reach the court. The Supreme Court also requested for anyone interested in joining sighting committees in different parts of the Kingdom.
