The Ministry of Haj and Umrah plans to start issuing certain categories of people electronic individual Umrah visas.

Oh yeah, things are about to get a lot easier obtaining a visa as a pilgrim.

According to Saudi Gazette, an undersecretary of the ministry for Umrah affairs mentioned that people will soon ‘be able to apply for Umrah visas directly without approaching Saudi diplomatic missions.’

The new initiative aligns with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030

The news was announced during a workshop in Jeddah on Wednesday and is said to be aligned with the Vision 2030, allowing the issuance of e-visas for individuals just for Haj and Umrah purposes.
