Anyone Who Does Not Renew Their Iqama After The 3-Day Grace Period Will Be Subject To A Fine

A grace period of three days is usually given to someone after the closing date of their iqama (residence permit), Saudi Gazette reports. However, if a person still delays with renewing their iqama- they are now subject to a fine of SAR500.

24,000 violators were arrested in the Kingdom in the last three days with 15,700 of those people arrested for violating Iqama laws and regulations. 

Other new updates to residency and passport-related fees

  • You no longer have to pay for transfer of data or naqal malumat when renewing the old passport to a new one, according to the Jawazat.
  • To cancel the exit re-entry visa after it’s been issued will set you back SAR 1,000 
  • To renew the Iqama of a Saudi man’s foreign wife will cost SAR500 a year
