There has been a lot of buzzing news in the Kingdom about the first-ever Arab Fashion Week to be held in Saudi Arabia.
The fashion-based event was scheduled to take place in Riyadh earlier in the week from March 26 till March 31.
But the event was abruptly rescheduled just a new days prior with the newly released dates.
The first of its kind in the Kingdom was rescheduled due to accommodation issues. A statement from the Executive Board of The Arab Fashion Council based the decision to postpone the event in order to provide more accommodation opportunities to international guests.
With the event including the works of: Roberto Cavalli, Jean Paul Gaultier, Yulia Yanina and Bassil Soda, you can expect to see the same clothing line-up.
This is aligned with the lifted ban on women driving in the Kingdom, which has provided them with new job opportunities.
Crown Prince MBS had also made a comment during an interview with CBS earlier in the month about women wearing abayas in Saudi Arabia, saying ‘they do not need to wear an abaya as long as their attire is ‘decent and respectful’ similar to men.
