ATTN: Huroob Expats Won’t Be Able To Enter Saudi Arabia Again

Avatar

Expat workers are given Huroob status when they abscond or run away from their employers. Such workers are subject to a SAR 50,000 fine, six months jail sentence and are then eventually deported from the country. Now, news has come in that after deportation these expats will not be allowed to return.

According to the Saudi Gazette, the Directorate General of Passports (Jawazat) has cautioned that expats deported on charges of Huroob will not be allowed to return to the Kingdom.

Also, new revelations were made by the Jawazat office one of which was that employers can no longer remove Huroob status of their employees through the Abshir platform.

They will now have to visit the concerned department in the Jawazat office in person to do so.

The news report also states that companies found guilty of employing expats with Huroob status will be penalized with a fine of SAR 100,000 and barred from recruiting workers for the next five years.
