Five Defendants Face The Death Penalty Over The Murder Of Jamal Khashoggi Following The First Trial

Avatar

Saudi Arabia’s Public Prosecution had its first trial session on Thursday with detainees who were involved in the killing of late journalist Jamal Khashoggi, reports the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The Prosecution has demanded the killing of five of the detainees, out of those convicted.

The Human Rights Commission pointed out a few key details during the trial

The Commission pointed out that bringing the convicts to the trial comes as confirmation of what has already been explained by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, that justice will take its course, and that anyone who participated in the commission of this crime will receive deterrent punishment.

The Commission explained that the trial proceedings took place as guaranteed by the Kingdom’s regulations to all parties to the criminal case.
