The American sabre fencer is best known for being the first woman representing the United States in the Olympics while wearing a hijab. She won a bronze for the country in Team Sabre event at the 2016 Olympics. Ibtihaj even has a Barbie doll modelled after her and she has recently released her book titled “Proud: My Fight for an Unlikely American Dream.”
She posted a photo on Instagram in which she is seen standing in front of the Kaaba.
