Chinese Ambassador Honors Saudi Man For Daring Flash-Flood Rescue!

Saudi citizen Ahmed Al-Anzi has been hailed as a hero after a dramatic rescue in Al-Shamli Governorate, southwest of Hail, where he saved two Chinese residents whose vehicle overturned and was swept away by powerful floodwaters on Sunday evening.

Ahmed was traveling with a group when they spotted the overturned car being carried by the current.

Without hesitation, and despite the raging waters around him, Ahmed rushed straight into the flash flood

Battling the fast-moving currents, he managed to pull both trapped individuals out and guide them to safety, risking his own life to save theirs.

The rescue unfolded during widespread flash floods across Saudi Arabia, with heavy rain and thunderstorms affecting the regions of Makkah, Madinah, and Riyadh. The National Centre for Meteorology had already issued warnings about severe rainfall and hazardous conditions throughout the Kingdom.

What happened next took the story even further…

The rescue video quickly spread online and eventually reached Chinese Ambassador Chang Hua in Riyadh

Deeply moved by Ahmed’s bravery, the ambassador publicly praised the Saudi hero and announced that he would personally invite Ahmed and his companions to the Chinese Embassy to honor them for their courageous actions.

The dramatic events came shortly after mosques across the Kingdom performed the special rain-seeking prayer, followed by the heavy downpours that triggered the flash floods.

Ahmed’s selfless act has since become a symbol of bravery, humanity, and the strong ties between the Saudi and Chinese communities.
