In the interview, he said that the anti-corruption drive that took place in November was just the kind of “shock therapy” that Saudi needed to find the root cause of its economic issues.

There were budget targets for the Kingdom that it couldn’t meet

Budget targets by the Kingdom, as told by the Crown Prince, couldn’t be met with all the looting that took place. His Highness mentioned that although the number of corrupt princes were a minority, this still harmed the energy of the ruling Al Saud family.

You have a body that has cancer everywhere, the cancer of corruption. You need to have chemo, the shock of chemo, or the cancer will eat the body.
