You heard it right. 

The Shoura Council called on the main aviation service in the Kingdom to lower the usually high rates of domestic airfare tickets in Riyadh on on Tuesday. 

According to Arab News, the Shoura council also demanded for self- service systems to be completed in all airports all over Saudi Arabia.

This means your flights to Jeddah or other areas in the Kingdom could cost a whole lot less

The council decided to urge for this request due to feedback of the Committee on Transport, Communications and Information Technology on their annual report of the GACA or General authority of Civil Aviation.

But wait, there’s more…

The Shoura council even called on GACA to encourage airlines to provide proper seating capacities for all domestic flight passengers. 

They didn’t stop with the demands for progression right there, because now authorities could start requiring airlines to address customer-related issues within 15 days after a complaint.
