Egyptian singer, Sherine Abdel- Wahab’s supposed concert in Saudi Arabia is cancelled, according to the Kingdom’s entertainment authority. 

The concert would have taken place this month to raise money for children with cancer

However, the event’s organiser did not apply for a license to operate such an event. That mistake lead to the cancellation of Sherine’s concert, according to The General Entertainment Authority. 

Conservatives in the Kingdom also launched a Twitter campaign opposing the concert 

While Egyptians and other fans of the singer are disappointed online.. 

Saudi Arabia has started to be more open towards concerts, after banning them for two decade, according to the Associated Press.
