Even Pakistani Films Will Be Screened In Saudi And This Will Be The First One

With cinemas expected to open in the 1st half of next year, reports have been rife with movies that will be screened in Saudi. While Hollywood and Bollywood were expected to be screened in the country, as per news reports even Lollywood movies from Pakistan will be shown across Saudi cinemas.

According to The Daily Times, Pakistani film Parchi will release in Saudi Arabia. The movie is an action/thriller-comedy starring Hareem Farooq, Ali Rehman Khan and Shafqat Cheema.

In recent years Pakistani cinema has been reviving and movies from the country were screened across the globe including neighboring UAE. Some even managed good collections in the UAE.

Parchi too will also release in the UAE on the 5th of January.

Parchi’s trailer has been well received and a song from the movie has garnered close to 3 million views on YouTube at the time of writing this article.

With a sizeable Pakistani expat community in the Kingdom, more Lollywood movies can be expected to be screened in Saudi cinemas after Parchi.
