6 TREMENDOUS Reasons To Visit Ithra If You Haven’t Already

Avatar

Ithra, or the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, is an arts centre in Dhahran that was developed by the Saudi Aramco back in 2017. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz inaugurated this architectural piece of beauty of the 1st of December.

If wonderments about Ithra still bewilders you- we’re here to ease your curiosity.

It’s a museum, cinema, an auditorium, a library and with exhibition halls but was also awarded by TIME magazine as ‘one of the world’s greatest places.’

If you live in or close to Dhahran, there’s definitely no reason not to check it out. In fact, there are X main reasons that might get you to visit:

1. Night or day- Ithra’s architectural beauty will make for the perfect photo-op

2. A lot of events will take place in Ithra’s halls, auditoriums and stages

So many, in fact, that it had to be consolidated here.

3. Taking your children to Ithra on special kiddie nights is a great alternative to the park on a Friday night.

Ithra usually holds interactive and engaging ways to ensure that children get to learn and have fun at the same time.

4. Creatives of all ages get to explore and be surrounded by art in all forms

If you’re a burnt-out writer or an artist losing motivation, perhaps a visit will help you recollect notions as to why you love what you do- in the first place. Going to an inspirational space is a great way to reinvigorate one’s senses.

5. You get to attend seminars from people in your field every now and then

6. Ithra’s cinema theatre will usually feature the coolest, underground films made by locals or creatives in the GCC.
