The crash of the Boeing jetliner is one of the most horrific African aviation disasters in recent memory.

There were people from 35 nationalities that died in the crash, one of whom was a Saudi and this is his story.

Saad Khalaf Al Mutairi was a 36-year-old father of two who was travelling from Addis Ababa to Nairobi.

Al Mutairi was in Addis Ababa to recruit workers from Ethiopia. Gulf News reported that Al Mutairi was working for the King Saud Medical City in Riyadh. He supposedly used to work in the X-Ray department at the hospital.

One of his cousins while speaking to Al Arabiya news channel has said they have still not been able to identify the victim’s body.

The same news channel also talked to a colleague of Al Mutairi who had this to say about his co-worker. “He had high morals and was a good friend to everyone at work and served patients without discrimination or negligence.”
