A SURPRISING Percentage Of Saudis Actually Prefer Wellness Travel Among Other Activities

Avatar

A recent research carried out by YouGov found that Saudis actually value spending their money on enriching and rejuvenating experiences rather than material goods.

No surprise there.

Saudis are already known for being huuuuge travel bugs but we reckon the data adds more legitimacy to it, of course.

The research also discovered the top 10 things Saudis truly value most:

(This order is categorised from most to least)

  1. Wellness and spa holidays abroad
  2. Cultural holiday overseas
  3. Solo travel abroad
  4. Holidaying at home
  5. Sporting holidays overseas
  6. Overseas city breaks and weekends away
  7. Buying luxury items
  8. Go out for a meal
  9. Overseas travel for business
  10. Attending live events

Saudis value moments, stillness and relaxation in their travels

The survey’s results showed that approximately 38% of the Kingdom enjoy wellness holidays. So much so, that it has topped the ranking, elucidating just how much meaning Saudis look for within their trips.

Cultural holidays like Eid are the second favorite type of trip that Saudis take, with destinations as near as Bahrain and as far as the U.S.

Spontaneity is definitely a common thread among Saudis!
