A Young Saudi Won First Place Beating 900 Other Participants For An Invention That Helps Blind Identify Colours With Sensation

A young Saudi inventor, Khaled Ahmed Atif, is being showered with accolades on social media for having won the gold medal at the Geneva Inventions Exhibition 2018. But it’s not only his prize or the pride he has brought back to Kingdom, after beating more than 900 other participants from 45 countries. 

Atif’s invention helps the blind identify colours with sensation through a device.

Khaled Atif called out his biggest wish to meet either the Crown Prince MBS or King Salman in a video

In the video shared by Khaled Atif below, he announces that he’s won something very special and wishes to meet the King or the Crown Prince. He further added that he had been trying for a long time and now that he has won, he hopes people will spread the video and make his wish come true.

Residents, naturally, are retweeting the video in hopes of getting the royals’ attention. The retweets have turned into a full-on trending hashtag with supportive Saudis spreading love and praise towards the young inventor.
