Cylone Mekunu has turned parts of Rub’ Al-Khali (or the Empty Quarters) desert into freshwater lakes

This is an extremely rare phenomenon that has not happened in nearly 20 years.

The Empty Quarters is the world’s largest area of continuous sand and covers a quartr of the Kingdom

The lakes are especially going to benefit its residents who rely heavily on camels.

People expect the plants to grow from the rain to feed their camels for the coming two years!
