Dwayne Johnson Had Dinner With The Crown Prince But Might Have Gotten A Little Carried Away

Actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was among the few invited to Rupert Murdoch’s most discussed ‘historic’ private dinner and met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Other notable names such as Oprah Winfrey, Morgan Freeman, James Cameron and more were also in attendance at the Los Angeles feast, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Following the dinner, the action star did not hesitate to take to social media what an opportunity it was to meet the Kingdom’s modern ruler. A Facebook status by the actor revealed his positive sentiments towards MBS and his ‘modern views on the world’, however; he might have also gotten just a little carried away towards the end of the post.

The Rock can’t wait to visit Saudi Arabia soon

Johnson concludes his Facebook post by showing appreciation to Saudi fans, saying

“On a personal note, I was extremely flattered and truthfully, blown away to to be told about the level of love the Saudi people have for me and my popularity throughout the country. Very humbling and I look forward to my first visit soon to Saudi Arabia.”

His ‘tequila’ comment was a little muddled and received an expected response

The final statement of this post is really the attention-grabber, where the actor (presumably joking) said “I’ll be sure to bring my finest tequila to share with the his Royal Highness and family. Tequila, a type of Mexican alcohol, like many others is illegal in the Kingdom and punishments if caught can be pretty hefty.

Several people noticed Dwayne then edited the status on his Instagram account

…Changing it to “Thank you everyone for a great night. Luckily, I brought my own tequila.”

Meanwhile, the Facebook status previously mentioned, remains unchanged.

Saudis on Twitter absolutely went insane over the posts

Local fans on Twitter and Facebook expressed their adoration for the actor and their excitement for his proposed visit to the Kingdom.

“People like the Rock who met our Prince knows the truth about us, things are changing now in Saudi in many aspects!”

Many are praising the actor for his kind words towards the Crown Prince

MBS is due to return to Saudi shortly after this currently  multi-city tour in the U.S.

Crown Prince Salman’s U.S tour began last more than two weeks ago with a visit to US President Donald Trump and the entire trip is said to last three weeks.

These visits will in turn help strengthen future cooperations and investments with Saudi Arabia and the United Stated. He has, so far, already met with Virgin’s Founder Richard Branson, Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos and even Walt Disney’s CEO amongst others.
