Saudi Mountaineer Mona Shahab Successfully Summits Everest Becoming The Second Saudi Woman To Do So
Mona Shahab is an inspiration for thousands of women. After climbing four of the “Seven Summits” and raising more than $350,000 for charities Mona was on a mission to scale the tallest mountain in the world. She was part of all Arab women’s team.
Her Everest attempt was reported heavily in the local media.
News has just come in that Mona has successfully summited Mount Everest becoming just the second Saudi woman to do so.

Mona hails from the Eastern Province in Saudi and was born and bred in the kingdom.
She started a GoFundMe page for her Everest climb that has raised $33,212 at the time of writing this article. The funds raised will go to a charity called the Marwa Fayed’s Toy Run (MFTR). The charity seeks to empower underprivileged children in Egypt.
