Saudi Residents Have Weighed In Their Reaction Towards Malls And Markets Closing At 9PM

News circulated Saudi’s social media sphere on Sunday saying malls and markets will close at 9 PM every day, except in Makkah and Madinah. Naturally, it blew up on Twitter with divided opinion amongst the Kingdom’s millions of residents. 

No confirmations have been confirmed but the initiative was suggested to higher authorities, reports say.

Some were genuinely confused as to why

Others agreed that shops should, indeed, close by 9PM

“To be honest, I think 9PM is the best time to end your day because as humans we used to sleep right when darkness took over the day…”

Other responses were unclear.
