A recent study found that life expectancy in 2040 is set to increase a little in all nations but that rankings will dramatically change. For example, Spain has now taken the top spot for a longer lifespan but China and the United States have switched places since last year.

People in Spain (previously 4th place) have a projected average lifespan of nearly 85.8 years, this time, beating Japan out of the first place ranking with a lifespan of 83.8 years.

The ranking mentioned is expected to drop to 2nd place in 20+ years, according to Saudi Gazette.

Saudi Arabia’s ranking how gone from 61st to 43rd

With all that in mind we go into Saudi Arabia’s ranking which has surprisingly risen from the 61st to the 43rd spot. Indonesia (117th to 100th), Nigeria (157th to 123rd), Portugal (23rd to 5th), Poland (48th to 34th) and other countries have also increased in ranking.

The top five determining factors that help average lifespans improve

Researchers say that the progress or stagnation of the average lifespan depends on how well or poorly the health systems discuss the main health determining factors. These determinants include: high blood pressure, being overweight, high blood sugar, alcohol and tobacco use.

Basically, “lifestyle diseases.”
