The Saudi Crown Prince is currently on a three-nation Asian tour, the first stop of which was Pakistan.

The Pakistani media has touted this visit by the Crown Prince as one of the highest profile visit by a Saudi royal in decades. And, the Pakistani government, in turn, has given the Crown Prince a royal welcome to remember.

At first, streets were filled with billboards welcoming the Crown Prince.

Pakistani citizens even started the “WelComeCrownPrince” hashtag to mark the Crown Prince’s maiden visit.

The South Asian nation’s fighter jets then escorted Prince Mohammed Bin Salman’s airplane as it made its way to the country’s airspace.

Upon landing, the Saudi royal was given a red carpet welcome and a 21-gun salute.

Imran Khan then drove the Crown Prince to the Prime Minister’s residence.

Later that night Pakistani Prime Minister, Imran Khan, held a dinner reception in honour of the Crown Prince’s visit where both leaders addressed the media.

The Saudi Crown Prince’s “ambassador” remark to President Imran Khan’s request of good treatment to Pakistani expats living in Saudi has gone viral.
