Fraudsters At Work: Genuine Looking Messages From Ikea Are Trying To Scam You

Do not be fooled by the temptation of a free gift or $500 worth of Ikea stuff (even if it is the dream).

Residents in Saudi Arabia and UAE are the recipients of false messages and phony online ads, and it’s all the work of scam artists who are impersonating Ikea, according to the Scandinavian home retailer.

The messages may ask for your personal details in exchange for a free gift…

“Do not participate or share any personal information with these phishing scams.”

The Dubai branch of the chain, has taken to social media to inform customers the promotion is completely false and has no connection with the brand.
