The Privileged Iqama announcement has got everyone excited and it promises a lot for its holders. But who exactly can get one? Well, we have sort of an idea as per reports in the local press.

They list six basic conditions which are as follows:

1) They need to have a valid passport

2) The applicant needs to be financially solvent

3) Those applying cannot be lesser than 21-years-old

4) If the applicant is already living in the kingdom they need to have a valid Iqama

5) They should have no past criminal records and bereft of any offences

6) A medical record is required of the applicant who should be free of any contagious diseases in line with the requirements of the kingdom.

These six conditions may not be enough to gain this residency permit as the Privileged Iqama is mainly aimed at affluent expats and investors. Even the amount of money that they’ll have to invest has not been specified as it just says “financially solvent.”
