The Farasan islands are known for their virgin beaches and abundant underwater life but now a gruesome incident from the serene island has shocked the country.

According to the Saudi Gazette, on Wednesday a Filipino man stabbed to death a Saudi manager and Pakistani worker employed at the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).

The report says that a dispute broke out between the Pakistani and Filipino man at their accommodation. The Filipino man went berserk and chased Pakistani national Arbab Ahmed with a knife and fire extinguisher.

Ahmed ran to the nearby SEC office and made his way to the office of manager Naseebi who tried to calm the attacker.

Unfortunately, the attacker didn’t calm down and stabbed 56-year-old Naseebi at least seven times mainly in the chest. The attacker used the fire extinguisher on those who tried to stop him, which prompted fire from the security officials. Five of those who tried to stop the attacker were injured and Ahmed died of his wounds.

The Filipino man was taken to a hospital nearby where he also succumbed to his injuries.
